Our mission is to provide solid returns in the long term through equity investments. We adopt proprietary analysis and constant monitoring of invested companies.

We strive to generate the best returns for our clients by combining strategic exposure to risk with transparent management.

We invest in publicly traded companies in both the local and international markets underpinned by rigorous analysis and constant monitoring.

Acácio Roboredo is Alaska’s Legal and Compliance Director, and also responsible for the ombudsman. Beginning his career in 2013 with a law degree from Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo (PUC-SP), he has worked in the legal departments of the asset management divisions of banks such as Credit Suisse and BTG Pactual. Currently he is member of AMEC’s Audit Committee and Anbima’s Risk Management Commission.

Angela Freitas is a founding partner of Alaska and previously was a partner at Skipper Investimentos. With a B.A. in Architecture from Mackenzie University and an MBA from Dom Cabral Foundation (FDC), she served as CEO of Anhembi Morumbi University and on the Board of Directors of Anhanguera Educacional, today Kroton Educacional S.A. She also has managed various projects in the real estate industry (Klaff Realty and Gamaro Incorporadora).

Danilo Bredda is a founding partner and portfolio manager of Alaska. Starting his career in 2006 with a B.Sc. in Production Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP), he has worked at institutions such as Dibran DTVM, VentureStar Capital Management, where he began his career as co-manager. He is a securities portfolio manager authorized by the CVM.

Eduardo Mestieri is a founding partner and equity research analyst. Beginning his career in 2012 with a B.A. in Business Administration from Insper, previously he has worked at companies such as Skipper Investimentos and VentureStar Capital Management. Currently he is a member of the Audit Board of Magazine Luiza and Cogna Educação.

Guilherme Martins is a Back Office intern pursuing a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering at Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP).

Guilherme Miazaqui is a partner and equity research analyst, having joined the Alaska team in October 2017. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP) and a technical degree in Business Administration from the São Paulo State Technical School.

Gustavo Oliveira is a Back Office trainee, having joined the Alaska team in November 2020. Currently pursuing a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering at Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP).

Henrique Bredda is a founding partner and portfolio manager of the Black family of funds. Beginning his career in 2002 with a B.Sc. in Marine and Oceanic Engineering from Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP), he has worked at organizations such as Unibanco, Spinnaker Capital Group, Ashmore Brasil, FVF Participações, VentureStar Capital Management. He also was a founding partner of Skipper Investimentos, where he served as stock analyst and fund manager from 2010 to 2013. He is a portfolio manager authorized by the CVM.

Luiz Alves Paes de Barros is a founding partner and Chairman of Alaska. With a B.Sc. in Economics from FEA-USP, he is a prominent name in stock investing in Brazil. With over 50 years of experience in the financial industry, he is a member of Board of Directors of Aliansce Sonae Shopping Centers S.A., Alfa Holding S.A., Consórcio Alfa de Administração S.A., Financeira Alfa S.A. and Banco Alfa de Investimentos S.A.

Jack Jye Oyan is a senior programmer. With a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP), Jack has started his career as a data scientist and he has worked at institutions such as Escale Digital, Alcoa, Rappi and Easynvest.

João Victor Carvalho de Oliveira is an equity research analyst with a B.Sc. in Economics from Insper. Before integrating Alaska’s team, he has worked in Vórtx DTVM.

Marcos Yamamoto is Alaska’s Risk Director, and also responsible for the IT department. With a M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (USP), he started his career in 1999 as a system developer and risk manager. Marcos has worked at institutions such as PR&A, Votorantim, Citrosuco and Biosev. Currently he is member of Anbima’s Risk Management Commission.

Omar Abdalla is an investor relations analyst, with a B.Sc. in Production Engineering from FAAP. Before joining Alaska, he has worked in the fund of funds’ team at Banco Alfa and Santander Asset Management.

Paula Hirose is a founding partner and responsible for the administrative and finance department. With a B.Sc. in Accounting from FMU, she started her career in November 2010 when she joined the Back Office team at LAPB.

Rodrigo Abud is a founding partner and equity research analyst. With a B.A. in Business Administration from IBMEC-SP (today Insper), he started his career in 2004 as an investment consultant and has worked at companies such as Advis and LAPB.

Thiago Jacinto is a founding partner and equity research analyst. Beginning his career in 2006 with a B.Sc. in Economics from FAAP, he has worked at companies such as CM Capital Markets Asset Management, Ashmore Brasil and TCJ Investimentos. Currently he is a member of the Audit Board of Celesc S.A. Previously, he served as member of the Audit Board of Comgás S.A., Cosan Logística S.A., Log-In Logística Intermodal S.A., Magazine Luiza S.A., Magnesita Refratários S.A., Unicasa Indústria de Móveis S.A. and Rumo S.A.

William Cordeiro is a founding partner and equity research analyst. With a B.Sc. in Production Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos, he started his career in 2014 at VentureStar Capital Management, where he stayed until June 2015, when Alaska Investimentos was founded. Currently, he is a member of the Audit Board of Marcopolo S.A., Iochpe-Maxion S.A. and Valid Soluções S.A. He holds Anbima’s CGA certification and CPA-20.

Yan Rodrigo de C. Vieira is a partner and Back Office analyst. With a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP), he has worked in the Back Office team at Kondor Invest and in B3 as an monitoring analyst.
